We are delighted to announce the appointment of Eddie O’Brien as Non-Executive Director at Market Measures.

Eddie will be working with the team at Market Measures to ensure we continue to deliver relevant and exceptional insight to all of our clients during these challenging times (and beyond!).

John Gurd, MD of Market Measures says: “Eddie and I share the belief that right now is the time for all agencies involved in insight to stand up and be counted and to prove our worth to businesses across all sectors of the economy.  We need to provide visibility on evolving market conditions; help optimise product, brand and retail experiences and help develop new propositions which enable future prosperity”

As well as providing input on business strategy, Eddie will lead our Business Transformation Team which is geared towards helping clients navigate through these turbulent times.

In terms of Eddie’s background…

Eddie O’Brien (pictured), leaves Specsavers as Head of Insight and UK Local Marketing to join Market Measures as Non-Executive Director, and spearhead the new insight industry venture Destination 5.0>

Eddie, formally of Barclays, joined Specsavers in 2017 to set up a new marketing insight function and went on to manage various marketing teams. His departure sees him returning to the UK in the midst of much uncertainty in the Insight Industry, but he remains incredibly optimistic around the role insight has to play in rebuilding the economy.

He states: “Now is the golden opportunity the insight industry has been waiting for to prove its worth. Despite cutbacks across many areas, business will be looking to innovate. Operating models and propositions will need re-engineering. Smaller corporates that didn’t have a data and digital transformation strategy in place will be scrambling to become fitter for the future – I am incredibly excited to be joining Market Measures as a Non-Exec and leading Destination 5.0> and help business get stronger for the tough times ahead”
